FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

The questions people actually ask us, answered the way a technician would.

What is a SignalCheck?

A SignalCheck is a visit where we measure mobile signal in every room of your home or building, on your own phones, for each network you use. We note where it drops and why, and give you a written report with an honest recommendation. Nothing is installed during a SignalCheck.

Why do you measure before fixing anything?

Because guessing is how people end up paying for the wrong fix. Two flats in the same tower can lose signal for different reasons: a glass facade, a lift shaft, a bedroom at the back. The readings show which rooms are affected, by how much, and on which networks.

Does it work for Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL?

We measure every network you use, separately, because each one reaches your building differently. What we can improve depends on the signal each network has outside your building and the route used for the fix. The SignalCheck report tells you this per network before you decide anything.

Do you install mobile signal boosters?

No. In India, the Department of Telecommunications says it is unlawful for anyone other than licensed telecom operators to sell, possess or use mobile signal repeaters or boosters. We don't sell or install them. We fix indoor signal through routes that are lawful for your building, agreed in writing before work starts. Read what the rules say.

What does the Bar Certificate prove?

It records the reading in every room before the work and the same reading taken again after, on the same phones, signed by the technician. It proves what changed in your rooms on that day. It does not promise what an operator's network will do in future, and we say that on the certificate.

What if you can't fix it?

Then the SignalCheck says so. Sometimes the signal outside your building is too weak for any indoor fix, or the best option is something you can do yourself, like Wi-Fi calling or an operator complaint backed by our readings. We'd rather tell you that than sell you something that won't work.

How long does it take?

A SignalCheck for a typical flat usually fits in one visit. How long the fix takes depends on the building and the route. [CLIENT INPUT REQUIRED: typical SignalCheck duration and install time]

Will the work leave a mess?

No. We use shoe covers and dust sheets, and hide cables. One of our four principles is leave it better: the home should look untouched.

How much does it cost?

The fix is quoted from your SignalCheck readings, not guessed over the phone. See what drives the price. [CLIENT INPUT REQUIRED: SignalCheck fee and whether it is adjusted against the fix]

Can't I just use Wi-Fi calling?

Often, yes, and it's free on Jio and Airtel if your phone supports it. It needs a reliable Wi-Fi connection in every room you call from, and it doesn't help in basements, lifts or anywhere without Wi-Fi. How to set it up, and its limits.

Which areas do you cover?

[CLIENT INPUT REQUIRED: confirmed service cities and localities] See where we work.

What happens after the job?

Networks change and buildings change. SignalCare covers re-checks and support after a SignalFix job. See what SignalCare covers.
